Agression regulation

Agression regulation

"Aggression is behavior that someone uses to - consciously or unconsciously - break something, harm another person and / or make clear what he or she wants or does not want." (Peter Spelbos, 2008)

Aggression is an emotion in which an Emotion Regulation Therapy (ERT) can help. In aggression, however, that is called Aggression Regulation Therapy (ART).

In Aggression Regulation Therapy (ART):

  • Get insight in the behavior of people
  • Become aware of your own behavior
  • Teach you how to deal with the aggression
  • Learn to recognize and prevent your aggression
  • Teach you what your limits are and monitor them
